Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide high-quality Accounts Payable (AP) services to various business streams within Baptist Care
  • Collaborate with the AP Team Leader to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions
  • Handle invoice verification, coding, and data entry with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to resolve any AP-related queries or discrepancies
  • Contribute to the overall success of the organization by delivering precise and timely financial information for decision-making

Accounts Payable Officer In Australia

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in accounts administration, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years of workplace experience in accounts payable function, preferably in an environment with high volume and a wide variety of financial transactions.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Experience with operating accounting systems, ideally Technology One.
  • Agility and experience in process transformation through the use of technology to automate data and document capture.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a commitment to meeting/exceeding AP team deadlines.
  • Experience in AP month-end and year-end processes.
  • Can-do attitude with a team-player mentality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, recognize issues, and use initiative to identify and discuss proposed solutions.
  • Strong customer-focus with the ability to develop relationships within the team and related cross-functional teams.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with a strong level of accuracy and attention to detail.
