The key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and distribute a high volume of mail and correspondence.
  • Perform high-speed and accurate data entry, document preparation, scanning, personalization, cropping, and handle document/photo exceptions rework.
  • Analyze paper-based passport applications and convert them to online forms in Canberra or State and Territory Offices as needed.
  • Provide administrative support leading up to the issuance of Australian travel documents, following guidance when necessary.
  • Contribute to the travel document production workflow by ensuring data quality prior to the issuance of Australian travel documents.
  • Undertake Quality Assurance of travel document application forms before the print of travel documents.
  • Meet deadlines, achieve required work outputs, and adhere to performance expectations outlined in APO Performance Frameworks.
  • Apply attention to detail, accuracy, and produce high-quality work in line with APO Quality thresholds.

This is not an exhaustive list of duties. You will be expected to perform different tasks to meet the organization’s overall objectives.

What you will receive:

Compensation and Details for the Position:

  • Hourly Rate: $35.48 per hour
  • Superannuation: Additional 11% superannuation on top of the hourly rate
  • Payment Frequency: Weekly pay
  • Contract Duration: Initial 11-month contract with the potential for extension
  • Location: Darwin, Northern Territory
