Additionally, AINDT serves as the secretariat for the national peak body overseeing pressure equipment, known as AICIP. AINDT is committed to offering information and support to individuals engaged in the NDT, CM, or pressure equipment sectors. Their overarching mission is to represent the industry and advocate for its interests, striving to deliver substantial benefits to all its members. Currently, AINDT is actively in the process of recruiting a Chief Executive Officer, with this role directly reporting to the Board of Directors.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, lead, communicate, and promote AINDT Vision, AINDT Values, and AINDT Strategic Plan:
    • Formulate and articulate the vision, values, and strategic plan of AINDT.
    • Provide leadership in communicating and promoting these aspects to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop, lead, and communicate AINDT Marketing Plan and activities:
    • Create and oversee the implementation of the AINDT Marketing Plan.
    • Manage participation in conferences, exhibitions, and communication events to enhance AINDT’s visibility.
  • Manage marketing and public relations for the institute:
    • Oversee marketing strategies and public relations initiatives for AINDT.
    • Ensure effective communication to build and maintain a positive public image.
  • Administration and control of the affairs of the Institute:
    • Take charge of the overall administration and control of AINDT’s operational matters.
  • Strategic and business planning in association with the Board of Directors:
    • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to formulate and execute strategic and business plans.
  • The financial position of the Institute:
    • Manage the financial health of AINDT by securing government funding and expanding revenue sources.
  • Ensure JAS/ANZ accreditation for AINDT’s certification scheme/s is maintained:
    • Guarantee the ongoing accreditation of AINDT’s certification scheme/s through compliance with JAS/ANZ standards.
  • Raise the profile of AINDT in Australia and overseas:
    • Enhance the visibility and reputation of AINDT both nationally and internationally.
  • Developing value-adding relationships with allied Institutes and organizations:
    • Cultivate and strengthen beneficial relationships with related institutes and organizations.
  • Maintenance and improvement of AINDT Quality systems:
    • Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of AINDT’s Quality systems to ensure high standards are upheld.
