In the role of a Clinical Research Assistant, your responsibilities include assisting in the execution of breast cancer trials for the Breast Clinical Trials Unit (“BCTU”) in adherence to regulatory frameworks.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Possessing a strong knowledge and understanding of ICH GCP.
  • Demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
  • Proficiently completing case report forms and maintaining source data.
  • Undertaking general administrative duties, including booking and confirming participant appointments and patient follow-up visits.
  • Ensuring investigations and procedures adhere to the protocol.
  • Managing study trackers as required for effective study monitoring.
  • Assisting with clerical duties related to each clinical trial, such as filing and organizing site files.
  • Preparing for and participating in monitoring visits and study audits.
  • Handling the preparation and shipping of biological samples.
  • Contributing to study start-up activities, including protocol review, preparation of study-specific schedules, and other necessary documents.

This is not an exhaustive list of duties. You will be expected to perform different tasks to meet the organization’s overall objectives.

Key Selection Criteria:

Mandatory :

  • Minimum of 12 months of prior experience as a Clinical Research Assistant.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in effective written and verbal communication.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal direction and as an effective team member.
  • Australian Permanent Residency/Citizenship required.
  • Desirable previous experience in Oncology.
  • Prior experience in managing clinical trials.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in emails, Excel, and Word, will be highly beneficial in this role.
