The key responsibilities include:

  • Financial Management:
    • Oversee overall financial management, including cash flow monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, and costing.
    • Utilize expertise in the Sage ERP system for tasks like End of Month journals, General Ledger closure, and bank reconciliation.
    • Drive company growth and profitability through the development and execution of financial strategies.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and analyze various financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Compliance and Audit:
    • Coordinate and assist in internal and external audits.
    • Maintain a robust control environment and implement necessary improvements.
  • Taxation:
    • Manage tax-related matters, including the preparation and filing of tax returns.
    • Prepare monthly BAS (Business Activity Statement).
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
    • Assess the company’s financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Other General Tasks:
    • Assist team members with accounts payable & receivable.
    • Handle bank reconciliation, manage debtors & creditors, and process billings.

Qualification & Skills:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience working as an Accountant, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation regulations.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
    • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Attributes:
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Desirable:
    • Fluent in English and Mandarin speaking
    • A professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA)
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
