Barnardos is searching for a full-time, long-term ICT Support Officer (Level 1/2) to join the Barnardos Finance and Corporate Team in Ultimo 2007.

The Level 1/2 ICT Support Officer will be responsible for ensuring;

  • Address and resolve assigned tickets promptly following team Service Levels.
  • Regularly update incident tickets with progress, ensuring the quality of updates meets the expectations for an IT Support Officer.
  • Identify and address the root cause of incidents to prevent repeats.
  • Document ICT incident resolution steps into the team knowledge base.
  • Install, maintain, and configure network devices according to documented SOE standards (laptop, desktop, mobile phone, voice services).
  • Set up and support in-room video conferencing equipment.
  • Set up and decommission end user accounts as required.
  • Provide or reclaim hardware for end users in a timely manner.
  • Assist in training end users on the use of technology products.

About You

As a Level 1/2 ICT Support Officer, you will ideally have;

  • Completed studies in technology, computer science, or software engineering from TAFE or a university.
  • Have worked as an IT Support Officer or on an IT Help Desk (L1-L2) for at least 2-3 years.
  • Basic knowledge of handling cybersecurity risks.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technology, such as Active Directory, group policy management, Exchange Server, O365, and Windows10.
  • Basic understanding of hardware, operating systems, wireless technology, and networking IP configuration.
  • Strong focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • Capable of comprehending non-technical user issues and offering timely assistance in resolving them.
  • Comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels, including executives.
  • Able to collaborate with executive management teams from different functions to ensure the successful implementation of IT requirements.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
