Job Description

The Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for the following:

  • Measure and set reference points for installations
  • Prepare tenders and quotes
  • Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components
  • Weld and braze piping, cut, and connect
  • Provide customer service
  • Start-up and test systems, checking for leaks
  • Recharge with refrigerant, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance
  • Interpret gas codes
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Handle, recover, and store refrigerants
  • Maintain and repair refrigerated truck equipment for food or medical transport
  • Replace parts for HVAC, refrigeration, or air conditioning systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints
