RSPCA Approved Assessor In Australia

RSPCA Approved Assessor In Australia

RSPCA Approved Assessor In Australia

Our Assessors, who embrace the animal welfare values and ethics of the RSPCA Approved Farming Scheme, bring valuable experience as either seasoned farmers or professionals well-versed in audit and compliance. This role, reporting to the Senior Assessor, plays a pivotal part in the Certification Body, an integral component of the Scheme responsible for overseeing all assessment and certification processes for entities seeking RSPCA-approved certification.

Situated in the ACT, the Certification Body office serves as the hub, where our certification team coordinates assessments and administers the certification process. Despite being dispersed across various states, our Assessors operate from their own home offices. They embark on extensive travel, conducting assessments at farms and abattoirs nationwide to evaluate adherence to the rigorous standards outlined in the RSPCA Standards and by the Certification Body’s quality procedures.

The Assessors’ role extends beyond geographical boundaries, focusing primarily on Poultry programs. However, those with relevant expertise or interest also contribute to our Pig or Atlantic Salmon programs. Following each assessment, Assessors meticulously document their findings in comprehensive assessment reports, which play a crucial role in determining the certification status of the facility in question.
