We are currently in search of a motivated and seasoned individual to take on the role of Shopping Centre Manager within our expanding Retail Property Management business.

This position is a permanent part-time role based in the picturesque city of Darwin, requiring approximately 30 hours per week, with some flexibility regarding total hours. As the Shopping Centre Manager, you will report to the Partner of Asset Management and play a crucial role in collaborating with various teams, including the IOPM team, leasing team, onsite staff, and external contractors and suppliers. The primary objective is to ensure the delivery of outstanding customer service.

The role is designed to be self-directed, necessitating the ability to operate with minimal supervision. Occasionally, there may be a need for work outside regular hours, and in such cases, appropriate time-in-lieu or compensation will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Centre Inspections for Cleaning Standards:
    • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure cleaning standards meet required benchmarks.
  • Customer Enquiries and Complaints:
    • Address and manage customer inquiries and complaints for prompt and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Contractor/Supplier Management:
    • Oversee relationships with contractors and suppliers involved in property management.
  • Maintenance and Capital Works:
    • Manage both project-based and ongoing maintenance activities, including capital works initiatives.
  • On-Site Tenant Relations:
    • Foster positive relationships with on-site tenants to facilitate effective communication and address concerns.
  • Assisting with Marketing:
    • Collaborate on marketing initiatives to enhance the overall appeal and visibility of the shopping center.
  • Accounts Receivable & Payable:
    • Handle financial aspects, including managing accounts receivable and payable processes.
  • Sales Data Collection:
    • Gather and analyze sales data to gain insights into the shopping center’s performance.
  • Risk Management Inspections & Rectification:
    • Conduct inspections to identify potential risks and implement necessary rectification measures.
  • Assist with Shop Openings/Closures:
    • Support activities related to the opening and closing of shops within the center.
  • Assist with Collection of Bank Guarantees, Leases, etc.:
    • Facilitate the collection of essential documents, such as bank guarantees and leases, from new tenants.
  • On-Site Emergency Management:
    • Play a key role in on-site emergency management, ensuring a coordinated and effective response.
  • Social Media Responses:
    • Monitor and respond to social media interactions related to the shopping center.
  • Lease Administration:
    • Assist in the administration of leases, ensuring compliance and smooth lease-related processes.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Customer, Tenant, and Contractor Interaction:
    • Proven success in dealing with customers, tenants, and contractors in previous roles.
